Current Industries has been located in Bellingham, Washington for 35 years, 20 years at the present facility. Strategically situated in the Bellingham Airport Industrial Park, Current Industries 10,000 square foot facility is fully equipped with the latest automated wire, cable, and harness, manufacturing and testing equipment.

The high-speed wire processing machines cut, strip, and terminate, to exact specifications to reduce lead times and lower costs. For example, the Ampomator CLS IV + can produce 4,800 leads per hour, while continuously monitoring and adjusting crimp height. The Kut-Rite MCS-135BC can measure, cut, and strip 2,500 pieces per hour with exceptional accuracy. The Cablescan TestMate Model 128/PC continuity tester can check up to 256 connections. Our assembly technicians utilize these automated wire processing machines, and many others, to handle your most demanding manufacturing specifications, on-time, every time and without defects.

Current Industries is committed to quality and has been doing just-in-time manufacturing since 1994. We own several trucks for just-in-time (even daily) deliveries. Both buildings are designed for one-piece flow manufacturing and just-in-time deliveries. The benefits of one-piece flow include:

  1. quick detection of defects, to prevent large batches of bad parts,
  2. short production lead times, and
  3. lower material and inventory costs. These manufacturing practices, give Current industries the flexibility to meet all kinds of production requirements, from prototype assemblies, to high volume production runs; and from simple leads, to the most complex harnesses.
Current Industries has used a 5S program since 1994. This Japanese philosophy, based on 5 words beginning with "S", focuses on effective work place organization and standardization of work procedures. The 5S are commonly referred to as: Sort, Straighten, Sweep, Standardize, and Sustain.
